Juggling Machetes

Human nature is a lovely thing isn't it? After millions of years of 'evolution' we can't get away from it. I'm not sure how to explain mankind's urge to go against common sense or conscience. Why is 'animal' nature instinctive and for the best of the animal itself, while 'human' nature is often destructive and foolish? Didn't we evolve upwards? I wonder what explains this obvious flaw in the evolutionary process? Luckily for us, the Bible explains it very well. You see, we didn't evolve from animals. In fact, we were created by God. When God made Adam in the garden of Eden, he was a perfect and flawless man. Human nature at that time was flawless because Adam was created in the image of God, Genesis 1:26-27. But what happened since then? The answer is the fall of man. When Satan tempted Eve, and Adam gave in to what he knew was wrong, they died spiritually. There was no longer the fellowship with God they once had, but God made provisions for them by covering them before expelling them from the Garden. Now since the fall man is no longer created in the image of God, Genesis 5:3 "And Adam lived an hundred and thirty years, and begat a son in his own likeness, after his image; and called his name Seth." Because of their sin the human race was condemned. We find later in the Bible that "every man did that which was right in his own eyes", and things have ever been the same. Human nature can't be changed by humans, it takes the creator to restore the lost image. How is this accomplished?
