Have you ever had something to do that had to be done yesterday? Of course you have. Today is the second day of cleaning out my mother's house. She passed away on March 27, 2008. After a long weekend, a funeral (on April 1st), and a burial the next day, now we have rain. Thank God for a week off to grieve, but it seems like we are not going to get to 'button' everything up. The rain is supposed to stop tomorrow, which is a good thing, however the babysitter is lined up for today. What should we do? I thought about going back to bed. Amy wants to get it done today. What are we going to do? I don't really know yet, but most likely we'll work in the rain. How fun.
I recall the days of my youth when rain wasn't a problem. Old clothes and shoes, then out the door (as long as it wasn't dangerous or extremely cold). As I walked out the back door under the carport, 3 of my sons followed me. How I wanted to 'play' in the rain like I did as a child. Unfortunately the boys weren't willing to get soaked first thing in the morning. They know to ask the boss (Amy) before doing anything like that. If I could just look at this task as a game, maybe working in the rain would be ok. I guess we'll see what we can do to make it through the last task of the week.
