Have you ever heard a scientist describe the 'big bang'? That may sound like a strange question, and it may be the last thing you want to sit and listen to, but give it a try sometime. You will hear many fascinating concepts and technical language that may make your head swim. Just try not to laugh. Laugh? What do you mean? It is not humorous or (to most people) even interesting. Oh yeah? The next time you come across someone describing the big bang theory listen for words like maybe, possibility, probable, might have, could have, suppose, it is thought, presumably, generally accepted, etc. Believe me, there will be more non-concrete words than that. Nothing will ever be nailed down. Now for more fun. Actively search for explainations of the big bang (or origin of the universe) and compare the information you receive. How does it line up? Next, do a search for 'string theory', 'parallel universes', 'multi-dimensonal universe', and other scientific lingo. Now how many conflicting views do you find. Isn't it funny how 'science' is supposed to be the truth and the only source of information that is accurate? The Bible says this is 'oppositions of science falsely so called'. The only source of absolute trute is the Bible. Genesis 1:1 'In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.'
Please don't worry when people say that there are many different religions and they all disagree, and that even churches from the same denomination disagree. That is a tactic that many Christians fall for because they don't realize what is going on. No one ever said that 'religion', 'churches', 'denominations', 'pastors', 'priests', or the like was the final authority. The Bible is our final authority and nothing else. We'll save the Bible version debate for later, but please understand that it is a self-interpreting book. All we have to do is rightly divide it and study it, not try to interpret it.
Another thing that I find amusing and sad at the same time is the unbelievers attacks on fundamental truths in the Bible. A thick skin is required to read some of the arguments against our beliefs, but some things are common to them all: a great lack of understanding and a propensity for taking parts of the Bible out of context or mixing divisions instead of rightly dividing. Those that believe in evolution (or no God, etc.) will believe it only until they die, then it will be too late to embrace the truth. That is the sad part. This earth is the only heaven lost people will see and the only hell saved people will experience.
If you are not saved you can be. Christians are not 'saved' by being better than you. Most are not. Morality doesn't save, even though it is right. Only faith is Jesus Christ and His sacrificial payment for your sins will save you. Even if you don't believe in hell or yourself as a sinner, 'ye must be born again'. Don't wait too late.
It is alright to be a skeptic, but don't be a dishonest skeptic. Many people will say they are agnostic, but the true meaning of 'not knowing' is actively seeking TO know, which most people don't do. Please seek truth in the Bible with an honest and open mind.

Woot! That works, but mine usually ends the debate too: "When was the last time you saw a vanilla gorilla? Or a can of 'Campbells Instant Primordial Soup' Mix?"
